3M 4200 ok

Getting supplies coming to redo the transom on my boat and ordered 4200 instead of 5200. Will the 4200 work ok to seal the motor and through bolts on the transom? This is on an aluminum boat

Unless your gluing the motor to the boat, 5200 has no advantage 4200 whatsoever.

In fact, you will regret using 5200 if you need to remove the bolts in the future.

4200 will be fine

make sure if it sees sunlight, get the 4000 UV.

5200 turns to goo in sunlight
4200 does same as 5200, except can be removed with some difficulty
