I suspect that if you don't have 20/20 vision the glasses (different pic in each eye, remember) severely aggravate the problem.

You hit this dead on I have only one working eye and that is basicly how it was explained to me by my eye doctor and yes I get to see both images overlayed and severly out of focus (therefoire i don't visit friend that own 3d tvs).

Tried watching lots of them in Japan last September at an electronics store. They had about 15 huge screen ones set up. There is a minimum recommended distance to be from the screen I think (if I understood the store employee correctly) and they had a stand with the 3D glasses at that distance set up for you to watch. Interesting but I was not that impressed and the thought of having to wear glasses to watch TV does not appeal to me.
Best thing that happened with 3D TV was the great deals I got on new LCD TV's for the home, cottage and trailer after the prices of those dropped like a brick !!!

Then, not long after I read how they are close to having 3d tv without the glasses.

Nintendo 3DS has 3d without 3d glasses. It's pretty cool. There is a dial on the side that you can use to control the amount of 3d effect.

I'm sure the dial also controls how much money you spend as well !!!!!!

If you want to see real 3D, don't stare at a flat panel TV screen. Just look around you. That is real 3D. No funny glasses needed or headaches.
