35 evin quit running after 3-4 min

1st time out this year, ran good at the end of last year. started and ran up the lake about 3-4 min and it cut off. would not restart immediatly. after about 2 hours i retried and it cranked. ran 3-4 min and did same thing again. weighted about 2 hours and it cranked again.about a 91 or 92 35 hp jet. 50 hp head.

Did you start out with fresh gas? If so is the tank vented? If not you will pull a vacume on the tank and walla no gas. Try running with the cap loose if it runs ok then clean out the vent and grab a cold one Happy days.

i startted with fresh premium gas, emptyed tank and gas line before starting. gas tank was vented. the ball stayed hard while running. power pack is 2 years old. ran with the cap loose and it did the same thing.
