Tell her to shut up and do the 3-step method. If it doesn't produce the results you want after she's done, have them wet sand it next year. It's not going to affect much of anything.

so she plans to proceed with the detail and clean the cushions in the cockpit. she said her detailer also said there was dry rot in the cockpit area? ( I know the steering wheel was wood and was being replaced, as it was completely rotted,) is there any other areas on these boats that have wood? I thought the wood in these type boats ended in the early 90's?

So I have a question about the Volvo gxi 5.7 engines? They replaced the fuel pumps, and one of the new ones failed ??? The tech said this was common on my engine type? Any truth?

Also each engine has 2 dip sticks , a red one and a black one??? The black ones read fine but the red dipsticks on both engines read below the safe line? Are there 2 places to put in oil? Any info would be great

You should have an inline vent filter on your Welly. I know the 2800 does. Replacing that should eliminate the head odors.

When it comes to head odors, have you considered using the enzyme potty deodorizers that are used in recreational vehicles? Black water tanks are black water tanks--rather on land or sea.

After I dump my travel trailer black water tank, I place an envelope of potty deodorizer in the toilet and put a gallon of fresh water in the tank. It never smells bad when I return.

When I dump the tank, I want it to be pretty much full, or I'll fill the tank with water before doing the "big dump."
