30hp Tohtsu spark plug wire location

I just bought a well used Tohatsu 30 hp for $50.

The bottom plug wire from the powerpack was attached to the top spark plug and the top wire was on the bottom plug. Is this correct?

I think its a mid 80's motor. Its blue with a white cowl. Model # M30A2
Serial # 52561.

Do these motors generally have some type of charging system on them? There is a couple wires and a plug that i'm not sure what their for.

Early 80's, charging system if its electric start.

How about the plug wires? Top coil wire go to top plug or bottom?
I think their reversed.

It may not make a difference. I think that model fired at the same time. You can call Tohatsu at 972-323-6003 and ask them directly.
