I had to replace the voltage regulator and it ran for a while without it. I then had fuel problems. As i was trouble shooting the fuel problems i kept checking for spark which was good. now i beleive the fuel problem is fixed i have no spark when i had spark just yesterday! It has not ran or started at all and no fuses are blown and the saftey switch is good. could i have problems with the stator and the coils if it has not even ran? no chance to get hot! what would be the chance all of the sudden no spark? and yes it had spark after the replacement of the regulator. it took me weeks to get the fuel problem fixed and i constantly checked for spark. what is going on!? I beleive it is a 1994 the serial number is 0GO84395

If you powered your ignition system with unregulated 12V you MAY have over voltaged your trigger or CDM. Course some engines don't have VR's and the ignition systems survive, but they may have different specs from regulated which clamp the voltage to 14.5v rather than the 16.5 v I have read come from unregulated systems.

The manual says to use a spark tester and if your engine can jump a 7/16" gap you are good to go. I use a timing light connected to the spark plug wire to see if mine is working, if in the spark or fuel guessing arena.
