3.7 470 flywheel magnet removal

I am switching over to a marine alternator. I have heard the flywheel magnets could possibly come unglued. Are the weights part of the flywheels balance? Cons to removing them? What is the flywheel made of? If cast, I will not attempt.

Just use a wide chisel, a light tap with a hammer usually will separate them from the damper.

Manual is wrong, that is the harmonic damper assembly
