Your issue is called desieling
the most common cause is to high an idle....... but it can be many other things...

Im putting the boat in on saturday ill let you know the idle rpms. I was at the marine today and the guy told me i propably have cheap gas 87 octane in the boat. I dont know but the gas is from last year so im guessing its stale. I bought it this year and all the guy told me was that when he winterized it he put in fuel stablizer. thanks for the help
the other thing you can do (especially if it's old gas), is when you come down off of cruise is to let it sit and idle for 2 to 3 minutes to let the heat soak burn off a bit before you shut down.
