The vent line is original and rated.

As for your fuel vent line and other fuel hoses, is recommended replace every 10 years regardless of condition

Guessing by "adjusted pitch" you mean rerouted the vent line and cleaned the "sludge and gunk" out?

Glad your issue is resolved and would suggest if all the above is true you should replace the entire vent line with approved fuel rated hose and inspect/replace the other hoses/fuel lines related to the fuel supply system

Make sure to keep the P trap in the line. It must go up, and back down
