I have a 96 3.0 GS-PNCS with power steering and i'm having a hard time with the pulleys and belts. All of the diagrams i see for belts show the alternator belt going around the crankshaft pulley so there are 2 belts going to that lower (crankshaft) one. The parts diagram only shows the oscillation damper without a pulley over it. Mine isn't like, and i'm having problems with squeaking belts and while i'm replacing everything, i want to make sure i have the right pulley and belts on there. It seems to be that i should have a 2 groove pulley for that lower pulley. I do have a rebuild motor, which makes me suspicious that the belt routing diagrams are right, but my motor was put back together wrong. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks,

Re: 3.0 GS-PNCS lower pulley

hi !

i have a 96 3.0 GS PNCA with servo and it has all in all three belts. the main belt drives via the crankshaft the circulationwaterpump and the servosteering. the second belt drives the alternator, the third belt the rawwaterpump.

i,m also a little confused about this since the engine diagram shows indeed another belt routing.

hope this helps you !
