2nd bilge pump?

i just aquired a brand new attwood sahara pump from a friend any there any reason that i cannot have 2 bilge pumps connected for double protection thanks omc cbra cobia i/o

If this were mine, I wouldn't have it on the same circuit as my original.

But...I would wire it (fused, of course) directly to my battery with a float switch. It would cycle without any input from me, and only when it sensed water intrusion.

That second pump needs it's own hose and through-hull fitting.

yup, itll be fine...id say to wire it to the battery..use a float switch too

Mine came with 2, the auxiliary has twice the power then the primary

thanks guys the sahara is auto,and will install second hose and thru hull straight to battery with inline fuse what size fuse will 2amp be ok?

Probably closer to 5 amp...just read the spec sheet on your new pump.
