25hp evinrude help

I just purchased a 14dw with a 2000 evinrude 25hp. it ran fine when I looked at it to purchase and fine the other day in my driveway, put her in the water today and she ran fine for about 10 min then kinda died out at WOT, then came back and then cut off shortly after. The choke does not pull out but if I take the choke hose off the carb it pulls out fine and fuel comes out of hose. very frustrating for the first day to not run! any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like the float needle is sticking. A good carb cleaning, and a new kit installed should fix things.

vent open on the fuel tank? i do not believe you have a choke, you have a primer. It has a 1/8 inch hose going to the carb, being that it is fed from the bottom carb, it could be clogged.

it is a primer, It does not want to pull out when hooked to carb, but when I pull off hose it pulls out and gas comes out, almost like the carb is full and can not push any more fuel into carb.
