I am currently working on a Mariner 25hs outboard. I cleaned it up. Runs great. No water out the telltale. Cleaned all the passages and ports. No water. The telltale is in the casting of the power head with no hose. And it's not plugged. I replaced the impeller. Water blows out perfectly. Shut it off after a five minute check run. Put everything back together and pulled it over again. Runs great but no water again. Only ten minutes between runs.
Took it apart again and the pump looks fine. Reassembled and still not water.
Could the impeller look good and not work???
What the heck??
