25 horse Johnson

I have a 1976 25 horse Johnson that I believe is not getting up to the RPMS that it once did. The problem is I have no idea what it is suppose to be set at or how to do that. I am also wondering what would cause the motor to do this. It is running on both cylinders, I have done nothing to the motor pre-post issue.

Do a tune up on it new plugs about all to do it should pick up plugs get old especially if you idle a lot they foul out try that about 8 bucks
ALSO RUN A LIL CARBORATOR CLEANER IN IT (SEAFOAM A CAN IN TANK GAS SHOULD DO THE TRICK IF YOU RUN IT ALL OUT OR TRY HALF CAN IN ONE GALLON JUG RUN IT ALL OUT ON WATERHOSE
