What's the difference between the br7 and the bp7 the motor calls for a br7

R is for resistor. Needed if running in Canada. Reduces RFI.
P is for Projected tip. Runs cleaner longer.

You can get either designation, or both. We usually don't care whether R or not. P plugs will last longer.

Any high quality gear oil brand rated SAE 90 or SAE 80/90 grade. Change at each 100 worked hours. Will need less than a full quart.

The 40hp Tohatsus have been gathered up and converted to "Mega 25"'s, because lots of duck hunters in the south think they're beating the law by running a fake 25 hp that everybody knows is actually a 40/50 with the decals changed to say "Mega 25". Thus, you rarely see a stock 40hp Tohatsu anymore. Too bad. Wish game wardens would start writing tickets.
