Hello to all:

Anyone aboard today that owns a 24 Rinker flotilla III??? I have a general question - In the engine compartment on either side of the engine there a removal panels about 1 x 1/2 foot with 4 screws. I see hoses and wiring going into these sections but cannot find out what is in there??? I am not able to reach the screws on one side and the other has the 2nd battery mounted on it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be located in these areas??? I sure would appreciate a little insight...Have a great boating weekend...Monty2012

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... You don't say how this barge is Powered, so I'm guessin' there's a trim pump, 'n maybe batteries behind yer panels...

Re: 24 Rinker Flotilla III

Hello and thnaks for the return on my question - the barge is powered by a 4.3 ltr mercruiser....I do not have trim except on the engine outdrive proper. The panels are port and starboard in the engine compartment. I am an old guy 79, and a little difficult for me to bend and flex into the engine compartment. I guess I will have to try and see how I make out..Thanks and have a great day....Monty2012

Re: 24 Rinker Flotilla III

Hello 502Flotilla: sorry for delay in answering you and say thanks for providing the needed information. I kinda thought that was the case and now I wonder how I can look into those areas. As I mentioned, 79 yrs young here and can't quite bend as before. I thought I heard a small motor running one or twice and wondered where the noise was coming from. I am so glad that I purchased this boat, its been great fun so far and now have it outfitted for fishing since adding rod holders. None were on the boat before. Question, the plastic decals on each side are in bad shape and I had tried to get new from Rinker but no luck. I am going to try to paint these when wx gets a little warmer. Have a great day...Thanks..Monty2012
