225 ocean pro problems

I have a 225 Evenrude Oceanpro V6 check engine light comes on above 3500 rpms if l drop back down to 3000 light gos off. Boat will only run at full throttle for a few minutes than shuts down. Starts back up ok. Also dies at idle when docking or just sitting. Any help appreciated thanks

Check for a fuel restriction between the fuel pump and the tank. Be sure to include the innards of the tank, the fuel pickup, the anti-siphon valve, ect. The primer bulb can do this also.

Check engine light means that the vacuum switch on the incoming fuel line is detecting way too much suction. Just like the line was clogged....see?
