Ed R here, 225 efi s [your year] were new. they ran rich fouling plugs etc. Isthe motor deep in the water, exhaust back pressure was important, Tpi, had to be set at 95-97 at idle. motor ran better with 87 octane! Later models ran better do to newer ecm's. the right plug for your motor is ql77cc .
