I have been rebuilding a 1991 searay 160 with a 100hp merc and the same year shorelander trailer. Before i took it to the lake (for the first time) i had no cushions with only the two capt seats in, and the fuel tank was empty. I went to a feed store with a scale and got the weight of the boat. the boat and trailer weigh 2240 lb.<br /><br />I am guessing that the shorelander weight is 500lb. The Merc weight is about 400 lb. With the remaining weight of 1340 lb would be for the boat. does this sound like it is heavy? Is there any place or any body that would know the factory weight?
