20HP Mariner half power in forward

I own an 88 Mariner 20HP outboard, starts fine, great idle, good power in reverse, shift to forward and it acts like its running on one cylinder.<br />Shift to neutral, runs great full throttle, shift to foward and its power drops off again.<br />From half throttle to full, no change in power.<br />New electric pack less than 20 hours running time, replaced plugs, checked wiring, filter, lines, linkage, what next?

Does the boat initially try to get on plane, but then losses power? <br /><br />Sounds like you need to clean your carbs.<br /><br />-andy
