Today we start the final chop. Trucks and X-Men eliminate 4 playoff drivers each and cut down to the final 4 eligible to race for the championship next weekend.
Tomorrow is the final cut race for Cup, so expect some fast and furious racin' and wreckin'. Trucks and X-Men will do the same today. Here's the schedule;

- Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott will start from the front row.
- Martin Truex Jr. the Favorite to Win at Martinsville, followed by Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.
- Dale Jr. will do his annual Martinsville race next spring with a fan voted paint scheme.
- Penalties
- Cup - Joey and Almirola each had one loose lugnnut. Bell had 2 loose and his crew chief is suspended this week.
- X-Men - 2 cars had 1 loose nut. The #23 car lost ballast on the track, resulting in crew suspensions of 4 races to be completed next year.
- TV ratings - Kansas had a 1.3 rating and 2.11 million viewers on NBCSN last Sunday, the lowest for the fall edition of the race since at least 2000 and 2001, respectively. Ratings and viewership fell 16% from last year (1.5, 2.51M) and 37% and 36% respectively from 2019 (2.0, 3.30M), when the race aired on broadcast. The race was the final scheduled Cup Series race on NBCSN, which is shutting down at the end of the year.
