Precipitation has picked up around the track, pretty much lost everything that was somewhat dry. They are going to refuel the jet dryers.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Jayski said;

"constant mist all the way around"

A few minutes later - Mist continues to pick up some but they have not lost the progress. at least yet....

Followed by - "we've lost what we had on the back" says NASCAR :-(

Finally - And they have lost the progress on the front as well....

Nascar quoted Admiral Farragut in the Battle of Mobile Bay - “Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!"

I'm with Scarlett!

Even PRN signed off until 6 PM. I'll guess the crew is hoarse by now.

Scarlett said - “After all… tomorrow is another day”. 3PM to be exact.

Maybe it will happen. If the forecast is reliable, some time between 2 and 3 PM, the rain stops for the rest of the day. 🤞

Maybe today is the day! Just looked at the TMS track cam and off to the east the skies are brightening and no rain drops on the lens.

Update, per

[2 p.m. ET]: Track drying is underway, but will not be ready by 3 p.m. ET.

And another;

NASCAR now planning to push cars to the grid at 4:30pm/et and hoping to fire engines at 5:00pm/et

And this;

NASCAR had an additional jet dryer from Atlanta and two from Talladega arrive at Texas today to try to help track drying efforts.

They're sitting in their cars, that's a plus. Go Joey!
