During the stops, a crew member for Blaney was caught between two cars. On the replay one of the 5 wreck cars slid toward the Blaney car and hit the left rear tire carrier or changer, or hit the tire. He seems OK. He quickly slithered away after he was hit,

Truex was also in the pit road mash up and has the engine problems.

He may have been hit by two cars, not one.

Red flag lifted, back to yellow.

Only one car, Poole, hit the tire changer.

Ryan Preece, Justin Allgaier, Brennan Poole, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Martin Truex Jr., Christopher Bell, Corey LaJoie, Chris Buescher all involved.

Kurt Busch had a terrible pit, car came off the jack onto the air hose.

Nascar reporter tweets;

So that pit road incident has now ended the race for the following drivers: Ryan Preece, Corey LaJoie, Martin Truex Jr., Justin Allgaier, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Brennan Poole.

Odd fact of the day, Part 2: There are already more cars out of this race due to damage than there were for the entire Talladega race.

And we're only 1/4 of the way in the race.

Maybe Blaney's tire guy isn't OK - Took him to the hospital.

Elliott is leading, just shy of 2 seconds over Matt D.

Bryron 1st out of the pits for 1st on the restart.

Byron lost lead to ADillon, then blew the left front for caution. Said something broke.

Can't get the tire off, so hot the tire guy can't hold on and it must be wrapped around the suspension.

13 laps to go in heat at the green. Harvick went 3 wide on the backstretch to lead. Then Blaney hit the wall to bring out the yellow.

Joey and Keso hit the pits during the yellow.

Let's try again - Green with Harvick in 1st with 9 to go in heat.

Harvick and Elliott in front row on restart. Hamlin tried the same thing Harvick did on the backstretch on the last restart. Didn't work.

53 laps to go.
