Not normal in that racing on Saturday and Sunday and a midweek Cup race Wednesday at Martinsville. Trucks and X-Men race on Saturday and Cup is Sunday afternoon. Still no fans, practice or qualifying. Weather forecast has improved and rain changes have dropped to almost zero (gotta fudge a little) for both days. The race schedule from Nascar this time, MRN is slipping;

Don't know the pre-race show times, but Trucks are on FS1 and FOX is carrying the X-Men and Cup races.

Today's X-Race is the first Dash 4 Cash race, a chance for a driver to win 100 grand.

1st caution for for a spin by the #44, Martins.

Briscoe lost his nice lead when Miller spins for Yellow. Leaders pit with 37 to go and Briscoe out first.

Allmendinger wins - No Dash 4 Cash, but he's in the race for the next Dash. Gragson won the 100 grand for a second place ahead of the other Dashers. Haley and Hemric followed Gragson across the line and the four will be Dashing at Dega.

iFL roster locks at 3:20 Est tomorrow.

Watching IndyCar on NBC at Texas. Haven't watched then in awhile, diggin the cockpit and front wing. They look very protected in that cockpit. Playing follow the leader. 2 rookies crashed into eachother.... No fans....

The cockpit looks like a fighter jet on some cars. Formula 1 does a similar thing without the windshield.

Johnny Sauter was DQ'ed after the Truck race. Something about tire modifications against the rules.

Looks like most if not all have that cockpit. Almost totally enclosed.

A driver was killed and others seriously injured when tires flew off during wrecks and hit drivers helmets. Hope these new things help with that.

The DQ of Sauter was for a tire failing a dunk test. There have been teams in the past that used constant pressure valve stems to stop air pressure buildup as a tire heats. Nascar caught on the that and banned the tricky valve stems. Now some put micro holes in the tire carcass to bleed off the pressure. They dunk random tires in a tank of water looking bubbles and Sauter's tire or tires blew bubbles, hence the DQ.

Three cars are moving to the back for inspection failures. Busch1 will start at the rear and do a oass through for 3 flunks. Also Smithley and LaJoie will start at the rear for two failures.

This is why these races with no practice and qualifying are hard to pick. Here at Atlanta the race was originally scheduled for March when it's still chilly, upper 60's to low 70's, and often have chances of rain. Today will be 90 and Atlanta is a slick track surface with an untested package - The book is be thrown out of the window. The first caution will have a lot of car adjustments for most cars.

You still have a little time to massage your rosters - 3:20 is the lock time. There is rain from the tropical storm in South Georgia, but hopefully it won't be moving fast enough to affect the race.
