TWT is running away. Until Bassett spins, tosses a wheel and other parts. Red flag for car recovery and parts pick up. It happened right in front of TWT and the flying tire missed.

Showed the wheel and it looks like the axle broke and the wheel, rotor and caliper went for a low flight.

TWT wins heat 2, but his motor is smoking and getting worse.

10 cars on the lead lap.

TWT takes the 18 behind the wall. The crowd cheered!

Allgaier and Reddick battle for the lead as the final heat is flagged off. It took a few laps, but Allgaier gets a solid lead.

104 laps to go.

Annett around and into the wall for #6 yellow. He said a tire was going down.

19 laps to go and a caution. Fluid on the track was the trigger and 8 cars on the lead lap.

Allgaier leads.

Allgaier had it in the bag with a massive lead. Then he hit the wall or had a flat or both.

Reddick takes the win. Only 6 on the lead lap.

Jr. has to have more lives than a cat. Small fire eh? I'm looking at still photos of that fuselage today and ask my self what type of lattice are they making these things with now, Titanium maybe, strengthen the hull? It's the freekin' fence wrapped around the port side! Had it been on the other side no one's getting out. Someone up there was protecting the family and pilots yesterday. Maybe Sr.with help from the Big Guy? A hobby of mine is reviewing airline crashes, Mayday is a favorite show of mine. Preliminary evidence says the pilot touched down 1/2 way down the runway, too far. The TSB investigators are on scene. The story here is no one was injured, on the aircraft or on the roadway. More than a minor miracle.

The qualifying results yesterday are provisional and pre-race inspection results beginning at 1 o'clock will set the official field.

Truex Jr’s car is the first through inspection. It passes. One crew member say he wants to leave “before they change their mind.”

With the way these inspections go, not a bad idea. LOL

All cars passed, so provisional qualifying results are no the official results.

iFL roster locks at 7:40PM.

1st and 2nd heats are 125 laps and final heat is 250 laps.

Green flag until the 1st caution.

Hamlin leads until lap 15, then Larson takes over.

4 lapped cars already.

Hamlin takes the lead back. 30 laps down.

Larson back to the front on lap 40.

Hamlin is driving where ever he wants - High, low, in the middle. 79 laps done and 1st yellow. It didn't save TWT or Johnson from going a lap down.

Johnson and ADillon get together for the yellow. Hamlin gets a little piece of JJ. No free pass for 1st car down, JJ, cuz he helped cause the flag.

Larson 1st out of the pits with Elliott 2nd, Truex 3rd. Hamlin dropped back to 11th.
