2019 Lower Unit Paint Chipping

So im looking at buying a 2019 pontoon an it has a 150 hp on the back. I notice that the paint is chipping on the lower unit an i have never seen this before has anyone else seen this ? Do you think it is an issue

Not an issue, just a lousy paint job, by the owner trying to make a sale.

Cavitation burn on the gearcase of a 'toon? I don't even get that on the gearcase of my speedboat. I do get it on the prop though.

Not trying to scare you away but if your in a cold climate a case that froze could chip and crack paint. Is this on a running boat that’s in the water and able to test?
What did the seller about it?

Yes it happens a lot on tri-toons

It happens on the Tri-toons because of the center pontoon creating a vacuum in front of the prop?
