It is now time to start the official voting thread for the 2018 Splash Of The Year. (Actually past time, .... my fault for completely missing the date.) ......
his year we have 2 accepted nominations

They both did fantastic work in bringing great boats back to life and really looking like both of them just rolled out of the show room! However, only one can win the title of the 2018 Restoration Forums's Splash Of The Year.

-Voting will be open thru February 14, 2018

-Members must have at least 5 posts to vote for their favorite.

For complete contest rules, see the nomination thread.

Our two outstanding nominations are:

Project Fuggly by Archbuilder

Fuggly is outstanding work by Archbuilder, but the thread title alone is worth a vote for Chevymaher.

May I vote for both of these?

I am pretty sure I read chevs in entirety. Not fugglys. I was thinking 3 or 4 of what it looks like completed. I do everything on my phone and takes forever to skim a 170 page post looking for pics

You absolutely have to read the Fuggly thread and see the changes from beginning to end. The workmanship is impeccable!

Or at least one for the Tidy Bowel Boat. I called the boat ramp yesterday. She remembered me from last year she giggled because I am new and checking already. Can't miss a day of it.

They put the dock in after the river goes down and it is warm at the same time. It rains alot in the spring here. Aprilish was her exact words. They dredge it after the fish spawn on memorial day.

I am sitting here polishing a coat hanger for the bow rails on ol Tidy Bowl.

It is raining today hard. I was out drying off the boat cover and checking inside for dewyness. I aint slackin.

Bonus was put off a month it should be in half fri and half in 2 weeks. Then motor. I still here sitting in the chair making the model and staring at the boat motor.
