2017 Stingray 198 LX

Hello all,

I recently purchased a 2017 Stingray 198LX, in beautiful condition with 68 hours on the meter. The boat came with a manual for the Merc, but nothing for the boat itself. Stingray’s website only lists manuals going back to 2020, and while I have reached out to my (semi) local dealer, no response yet. Any ideas where I could find a pdf of this? Just looking for general information on the boat, operation of switches, etc.

I wouldn't waste my time looking for one as it's more likely to contain the boating do's and don'ts. Pointy end goes towards where you want to go. Don't hit anything. CO poisoning. etc.

Inserts may have been included to go over trailer, radio, and cleaning vinyl.

Quickest way to find out what the switches do - turn them one at a time and find out what goes on. Some manufacturers include an extra AUX switch or two where you would hook up accessories like fish finders or VHF.

The 2020 model year manual might be worth looking at, as the boats don't change much, if at all, year-to-year.

I have looked through the 2020, and it did have some of the answers I wanted. There is at least one switch marked Aux, which I’m assuming is unused for now. Others (I.e. trim tabs) I’m assuming are also blank for optional accessories. I have no idea what Fresh Water would be, as I didn’t think these boats could option with a transom shower.

Most likely the dash or switch pack is used for multiple boats - my sea ray has a switch for a windshield wiper, yet there is no wiper on the boat. I used it when adding LED lights....
