Hello all. Looking for some help with an odd problem. Blower, bilge, radio all work fine. But when I go to turn the key I get nothing and I also have no trim. Now if I take the trim fuse out and replace it I have trim again and when I turn the key I get a single click and then nothing with the turn of the key and no trim again. I have cleaned and tightened all connections from the battery back to the 90 amp fuse (fuse is not blown). The starter is a bear to get to but I did spray the bilge out last weekend and have a feeling I shorted something out. Thoughts on how to proceed?

The click may another blow fuse and probably blowing 2 of them (or more)… one trim and the other ignition power…. Plus you should have relays involved in your system.

Have you located all the fuses on the engine yet and checked them to see if they look blown?

With fuses blowing, something is shorting out.

Just a guess here but do you know if maybe there might be some water say in the center of the boat area behind the control shifter unit? It’s possible the wiring to the trim and or ignition systems are hanging low and got summered and shorting out the power and trim wires causing issues.

None of my fuses are blown. I haven’t been able to
Locate the 15 amp yet.

Start with page 38 - 41, https://mnappsp.mercurymarine.com/m...VICE/CRUISER/OWNER/15/8M0103371.PDF&name=4.5L

A 15‑amp fuse located at the aft end of the engine, protects the accessory circuits.

This power package uses a clean power harness that is connected to the engine starting battery. This clean power harness minimizes an excessive voltage drop to the engine and drive digital control electrical system. This harness is protected by a 5‑amp fuse and is located near the engine starting battery
