2013 Tahoe Q4 smart tab installation

I just bought a 2013 Tahoe Q4. I experienced some porposing with the motor in any position other than all the ways down. It seems, from reading threads, this is pretty common and smart tabs is the way to go to solve the problem. However, im not sure where is can install these. I have about 10in of clearance to the swim ladder from the back of the boat if i would install them on the outside and only 5.5 in of clearance to the trailer tie down if i install them on the inside. Anyone ever installed smart tabs on the 2013 model (what kind of smart tabs)? How far do the smart tab stick out from the back when in their resting postion?

The tabs do not stick out all that far. Nauticus recommends that they be installed 5" from the outer edge of the chine. Here is a picture of mine on my Q7i....you can see where they recommend them to be installed. I think they say the 40lb. ones are good for your size of boat however I think some have also used the 60 lb. if I am not mistaken.

Go to nauticusinc.com and look up the smart tabs SX. They have a list of what tabs go with what size boat and motor.

I just installed SmartTabs on my Tahoe 215 on Sunday and tried them out Monday, they were awesome. I ended up emailing back and forth with their support and they were extremely helpful.

on my 215 I had to install them further in because of the hull of my boat and they still served their purpose couldn't be happier with them
