2013 - 2016 V8 Mustang vs Camaro? Same prices, I love them both

Myself and all my friends as kids dreamed of having a Mustang. I came close to buying a 66 but somebody got there before me. I ended up with a 65 Rivera instead. I loved that car.
Now days everything is crap. My boss got 24 Silverado and had me install a mount for the snow plow. I was blown away at how cheap and flimsy this thing is. I know now why all these new cars and trucks just fold up in a crash and are considered totaled. The only thing that saves you now are the air bags.
I’ll never buy new I’ll just keep my 2000 F 150 alive and well.

Well, I'll finally sell my mint 73K 06 Mustang 4.6 GT, 5 speed auto, my other vehicle is a 2012 F150 3.5 TT 100K on it, max tow 4x4 , super cab , love it but w/ twin turbos Mobil 1 synthetic only - some of the guys here (central TX) have same and at 200K no issues (again, reg maint and full synthetics only)

In 2004 when the Revived Mustang was introduced, I wanted one. Several times I had made a deal at the Stealerships, including one where my Cousin was the Fleet Sales Manager. But I could NEVER bring myself to finalize the Deal(s), simply because it was a Ford. I was Never a Camaro Fan(too small and awful little Bucket Seats, plus just plain Ugly, but I thought hey it's a GM. In 2009 I sat in one and hated the Dash and Cockpit Instantly. That night I went to a Cadillac Dealer and bought an STS.

A lot if not most of the Problems is because they are using Control Modules to operate things that used to be hooked to Switches and Knobs. A real PIA to Troubleshoot, and most Techs now just keep changing Parts, and charging for them, until the Problem is fixed, which it may never be...
In addition these Unibody Cars are as Strong as the Sugar Glass used in Movies, a 2mph nudge results in 2-3 thousand Dollar Damages. In the 70s when the Government actually paid some Interest in Consumers, they had Standards for 5-10mph Bumpers that prevented Damages, but Reagan, being "get the Government off the Backs" Wack Job, wiped those Standards away real quick after getting Power.

Meh. Modern vehicles, while damaged easier, do a significantly better job at protecting occupants than vehicles of the past. Contrary to popular belief I know. But is what it is.

Unfortunately, the End Result is an Increase in Maniacs at the Wheel, going even Faster, cause they are Safer in a Crash, making it more difficult to Cull the Herd of bad/defective Gene Pools...

Old School Mustang. Cheap. Easy to mod. Fast (well ^^^ not that one :ROFLMAO:)

Mustang (excluding special editions) has never really been the overall winner of too much. But, generally dollar for pound they're kinda' a good deal for a muscle car. // I kinda' pick muscle cars by year more than manufacturer. I like the Camaro from the 1990s more than the newer ones (for example).

For me old school for Mustangs is 60’s and early 70’s. It went to hell with 2 gen for me which I think was 74?
Unrelated I knew guy that his farther had a Ford dealership he took a brand new Mustang in the early 80’s put it on blocks and Pickled the motor. He said he wasn’t going to touch it for at least 25 years. I often wonder how that worked out.

There's a very well kept Cobra II for sale here in town ... and it's tempting. The "Pinto-stangs" are gaining some popularity again. I've had a '76 ... and I've had a Pinto as well ... and I liked it.

The 67 and 68 Notchbacks were the Best Looking Mustangs, Ever. After that they actually looked Stupid. The 2005 - 2010 looked Okay, Inside as well as Outside. The Current Ones are Pathetic inside.

So I gather you're not a fan of the Mach-e Mustangs?

Either one (Camaro or Mustang) I don't get worked up over as...well dime a dozen around here. So many sold they're not unique. Same can be said for the Challenger & Charger.

Now offer me a Pontiac Trans Am and that's a different story....which reminds me I gotta find the funds to get mine back on the road - kids are nagging me about it sitting in the garage.

No I have no Like of the Mach Mustangs, to me they look like Fecal Matter.
As for Pontiac, I have always thought they were the Ugliest of the GM Lines. I especially HATE the Grand Prix. The Only Pontiac that I liked was the 1967, and that was because of the Front End and Tail Lights of that Year.
As for Chargers and Challengers, Yeech, Horrible cheap Unibody design, the Worst being that One with what looked like a Carrying Handle for a Giant...
I like the RWD Caddies of the late 70s thru 92. I currently have a 96 Caddy RWD Fleetwood with about 16,000 on the Odometer, and an XT5.
Newer Caddies, while small, and with crummy little Seats that have less Cushioning than a Concrete Park Bench, do have a nice Chiseled Look to the Body
I also have no use for Berlin Buicks(BMW, Audi, Porshe, VW), Kraut Cadillacs(Mercedes), or any other Import.

^^^ They're offering conversions for the new Camaro that I think look pretty slick. I like the conversion better than the Camaro.
