I replaced my old swivel arm bracket about 18months ago.Iv finally got around to putting lower unit back on.Looking in my box of parts I noticed a wave washer.Looking at swivel arm bracket looks like I did not put it in.
Would this cause problems if I was to leave it of?
And if i do put the washer back in can I get away without removing lower unit and power head?
Also is anyone using a sea star hydraulic system.Mine has this set up but have not much of an idea as to how it goes back on.One reason is because I cant find it in the garage of mine. And pulled it off 2years ago and only just getting around to putting it all back together. If you have a 200hp mercury blackmax with sea star set up id love to see some pictures.

Wave washers are used to take up excessive end play in an assembly.

Without the washer, the assembly is free to move within the confines of the end play, causing excessive wear and tear on the assembly.
