Has the new 30 HP gasket still on its way...? Better wait till the new gasket has been swapped to go from there, the upgrade is very simple. Forgot to mention that Tohatsu states full HP while the motor runs to their max wot rpm range. Say if having a 30 HP motor in which the carb butterfly opens fully, but runs with less timing advance that it should along being factory badly propped definitely you're not running a 30 HP motor, definitely way less....

It's a bad idea to run a 2 strokes 30 HP Tohatsu motor at their max 5800 wot revs, those animals are fuel guzzlers in the order of 12% of their HP, that's 3.5 gallons per hour. Much better is to prop right that motor to run towards its max wot rpm range and maintain good plane when crusing along best fuel consumption while running at just 3/4 throttle. Your wallet will thank U...

Took it out yesterday wot revs to 4800 full loaded boat 1 up. 13p prop doesn't sound right

So the conversion was fully made, installed the 30 HP gasket, the timing advance was set to 25 deg, right ? The usual max wot rpm achieved with a 13 pitch running a light combo is around 5200, with a medium light combo which seems to match your case dials around what the motor has currently achieved with the OEM factory delivered prop. The motor is 1K off it's max wot rpm range of 5800.

Need to buy fa OEM 11 pitch prop to bump max wot revs as loaded to its max full wot range or bit less, only a wot test will determine, but will run a zillion times much better than with current 13 pitch prop.

Being a Tohatsu motor with taller lower leg's plates distance, would recommendo to sit the motor on transom trimmed to 90 deg, with deck load evenly distributed to duplicate this combo running condition. : ..Ideal is for water flow to skim right under the upper splash plate as seen on the video...check. Report your findings.

For that must look what's going on at back transom to know if the motor needs to be raised or lowered a bit. Motor/transom height optimization along a spot on prop maximizations does wonders. All my boats and my friend's boats are rigged that way...

I haven't installed 30hp gasket or advanced timing as I wanted to start with a benchmark so I can see if it improves so on. The motor is 90deg from floor also motor height asis same as the video

You're losing precious boating time mate, this first class provided info won't find it anywhere else, that's from plain experience selling and running those motors powering different applications for years now.

Order the OEM 11 pitch prop ASAP....The tach will show the wot rpm improvement along a better top end speed as from now..
