I bought a pontoon with a 2008 40 hp Suzuki 4 stroke. Runs great but check engine light and alarm keeps beeping. Owner said that he just changed the oil in it. What should I look for?
was the gauge reset to end the service neededThe tachometer multi gauge everything is ok except the check engine light flashes and beeps every few seconds when key is on or running. Oil was just changed by previous owner. Runs great oil pressure is good.
Nothing to do with the check engine light.was the gauge reset to end the service needed
closest thing I can come up with for a beeping noise that will not go away when you turn the key on.Nothing to do with the check engine light.
Not that I know of . Previous owner serviced it himself.Nothing to do with the check engine light.
How do you reset it ?was the gauge reset to end the service needed
why not give him something to look for instead of just saying the same thing multiple timesI already told you the check engine light has nothing to do with the oil change alert.
I do not know since I do not own a SuzukiHow do you reset it ?
Not really possible to diagnose properly via the internet. Too many possible scenarios for a check engine light. If the OP insists on repairing himself, the I suggest purchasing a factory service manual, the factory computer diagnostic system, and possibly the testing tools needed to properly diagnose the check engine code. Or bring it to an authorized Suzuki dealer.why not give him something to look for instead of just saying the same thing multiple times
Turned out to be the IAC valve intake air control. Thanks to all who repliedI bought a pontoon with a 2008 40 hp Suzuki 4 stroke. Runs great but check engine light and alarm keeps beeping. Owner said that he just changed the oil in it. What should I look for?
