Hello team, i am in Greece Europe i have a 2008 bayliner 192 discovery (salt water) Mercruiser brand new motor 225hp, with alpha one second generation, the propeller is 1425x23 Solas aluminium, it is the model with the big swim platform/boarding ladder, where there is a second outboard engine 15hp two stork (38 kilos), also i have two batteries and an inox tank of water 35 litres and 2 extra gas tanks in the middle of the boat 27/35 respectively.
My concern is that i can't get planning with 4 persons onboard with any way unless if i get them all next to me, but again the planning is not satisfying.

I attach fotos , i do not have flaps yet but i will soon. In the meantime i m thinking to replace the propeller because i think that it is too big.
Awainting for your thoughts !

PS. When eventually i can plan at 4500 rpm the speed is 45

Welcome aboard.

currently photo upload is not working on the forum.

however my experience with a similar sized boat and similar HP motor, your over-propped. the most I could run on my boat was a 15 x 19P. you should be much closer to 5000 RPM

couple that with what sounds like a fair amount of weight, and you can have trouble getting out of the hole on the hole shot.

try this. move 2 people to the bow until you are up on plane. drive all the way down, trim tabs 1/4 -way down. as you mash the throttle and the boat starts to take off and climb the hole....bump the drive up a bit with your thumb and bump the trim tabs up a bit. the tabs will help you get out of the hole. as you come out of the hole, keep bumping the drive up until you start to porpoise, then tap the down button twice.

you need to get weight up front and drop pitch to a 21 maybe go to 4 blade to get some stern lift. Trim tabs/ Flaps will help but you have too much pitch

You pick the prop by which one gets the motor to the proper WOT RPM. NOT by the planing RPM

Fairly heavy cuddy, 225hp I assume is a 4.3, kicker motor to boot, might need to drop to a 19" 3 blade. My best guess.
