I agree with you completely. These guys want to "give" me a valve job, but I really don't think they are bad anyways. They have scratched things when they did work, left over spray on my prop when they took care of the corrosion on the lower (and were paid via warranty). They didn't get all of the corrosion, and did nothing about the corrosion spots on the gimble housing. They just touched up a few spots on the lower. I am afraid that they will wreck my engine if they open it up for a "valve" job. I am going to take it to a different dealer, I just don't trust them.

My gawd man, you don't need a valve job yet. Have you had a compression test, a leakdown test? Bet not. If this thing runs ok above 1000 rpm, then you don't have a valve problem. You have a dealer problem, and at this rate you will never get your boat fixed.
