2007 Mercury 60 Big foot not charging

My 2007 Mercury 60, four stroke is not charging? Any simple things to check before I have someone look at it for me?

Test your rectifier/regulator.

It is the voltage regulator. Mercury will, if you ask, do you a deal. There is no accessible rectifier.
