2007 115 optimax 3cyl rpm drop

While engine is running, each time I use the tilt/trim switch from the motor cowling or the at the helm, engine RPM drops 200 and struggles a little.

I'm not good at electrical diagnosis, so gonna need some help. Any body know where to start?

Over the weekend, I think I discovered the culprit in the RPM loss... I had taken the battery terminals off to clean and in the process, used my knife to knurl the lead contact surface for better connection. After doing so, we made a trip to the lake and the problem seemed to disappear.
