Dear all ,

i am in the need of a wiring diagram for the boat. I have electrical problems. Does anyone know where to get one other than from the boat builder? Gauge are dead connectors are all solid fuses are all OK but still somewhere is something open.

I can turn the key , does not crank. I can crank it by overwriting the relays but that is just for tests.

So if anyone can help please i would liek to get this done and need soem kind of wiring diagram

best regards to all

I dont have that boat but i am an electrician.. Are you sure the starter relay is good? instead of jumpering across the starter relay, try sticking a wire directly to the positive side of the battery to the coil of the starter relay to see if the relay is good. Typically the spring return or push in on the key switch is a momentary contact that goes directly to the starter relay. My guess is your starter relay or key switch is bad.. the key switch can be tested with a multimeter using the volt setting if the battery is connected or it can be done on the ohm setting if the battery is disconnected... the meter leads would need to probe different things depending on which method you use..

Anyway... i came across this forum looking for general info on tahoe boats.. i'm in the market for a boat and i can across a 2008 tahoe q5i... any major problems? would you buy one again?

when you have the boat wired to the battery, does anything else work on it? horn, tilt/trim, radio? if they do, it is your starter solenoid fuse. Its the little white1 inch box connected to your started. About 35 bucks at your local mercruiser parts store.

There are a lot of other boat help topics that are similar - "all guages dead, won't start". Should give some good ideas - look in the Mercruiser section - layout of fuses/switches/wiring etc is all pretty typical for the past 5-10yrs from what i can tell.
