2006 DF140 temp light at idle

Took the boat out for the season and started the engines. The port engine temp light came on about five mins in. No signs of overheating, no alarms. plenty of water coming out the spicket. Light just stays on. Any suggestions?

probebly the exhaust temp sensor.

Could be corrosion buildup in water jackets. These motors are prone to internal corrosion failure.
