Help, I am new to this forum and I have a question. My Mercury will start (hard to start) and run for about 5-10 seconds and die. The boat set for about 16 months without being run and I have replaced the line from the fuel tank to the motor, put in a new fuel filter and new spark plugs. New gas in tank and additive. What is the air fitting on the fuel pump for? Does anyone know?
