New to this Forum, but my problem is this last year I could not get my engines over 4500 RPM's had it checked out and mechanic said it was the computer
on the port engine, replaced and I could get them to 5200 RPM's did not run over winter did all the normal maintenance this spring. Went off shore (Matagorda TX)
this weekend snapper fishing and now Port engine goes to 5200 but Starboard engine will only go to 4500 RPM's. lost 10 MPH and have about 20-25% slack in the stick, Can I adjust the linkage or do you think I have other issues. Pushing a 27ft Worldcat EC. Any help would be appreciated

I would wonder what the mechanic actually found wrong with the ECU.
not normal for them to have problems

and not sure what you mean by slack in the stick.
have you taken the cowling off and inspected the linkage and cables?

could the cable have jumped out of the keeper/holder where it is attached to the motor

I have not checked but will do what I meant by slack is the starboard throttle is wide open and the port throttle is 75% forward and when I pull back the starboard throttle about 25% before the RPM start to decrease. between 75% and 100% throttle there is nothing.

need to see if the controls are moving linkage
you have 2 motors compare the 2 controls

If both are moving everything the same, then look for some other problem
