I'm the original owner of a 2005 Skeeter ZX190 which has been a great boat for 18 years. I've had an electrical issue that just recently started. Occasionally everything powered through the electrical panel will stop functioning. Depthfinder, lights, all pumps, plus the tilt/trim control on the steering column and at the bow - all stop working. (Tilt/trim on the throttle/shifter and on the engine still work.) The LEDs on the control panel still light up, even though nothing actually works. Occurrences can be random, but almost always when I throttle up getting out of the hole. The analog gauges (Speed, Tach, PSI, Voltage, etc.) on the dash seem unaffected. I suspect it may be a circuit breaker somewhere as after awhile everything resumes working. Any help as to where to start and how to test is greatly appreciated!!!

Like others have said check all connections. The fact it seems to occur more during a hole shot makes me think that the battery (or battery box) may be lose and is tilting or sliding back straining one of the connections. Turn on the ignition and give every connection from the battery a good tug. If the power goes off you have found the problem. If a wire pops out of a connector you know for sure which one was bad.

Thanks so much! I’ll give those suggestions a try - hopefully it’s that easy!!
