When they come out with the Cobra version, later this year, Ford is claiming that it will have over 500 HP!

Re: 2005 Mustang GT

I have had a '70, '73 Mach1, '82, '88, and a'94 GT. I loved them all! Car seats won't fit in the 94, so got a Bonneville. Hate it! Now have a minivan, hate that even more!
The 94 was the last year for the 5.0 HO with the 5 speed. That thing would fly! Took me to 3rd place at the mid nationals 1/4 mile brackets.
All since then just couldn't compare to the power. Drove some and liked them, but can't afford them now.
Love the look of the 05! Nice look to the grill.

ROTFLMAO at Kenny and Nosleep.

Now, Mr. LF you know with the number of accidents and speeding tickets you have, we couldn't possibly afford the insurance. :p

LF,

Just register and insure it under your name, and don't tell the insurance company, then Mr. LF can drive it!

Re: 2005 Mustang GT

After owning Ford stock for the last few years (watching it go down) I have my hopes up that this car may turn things around.

That's cool.. looks a lot like the '69 Mach 1 that I bought back in 1969.

DeputyDawy, a friend of mine has a Ford Lightning pickup... that thing eats 5liters for lunch. Helluva pickup.

Keep your eye on Ford F_n. The new Freestyle and
FiveHundred, 05 Mustang are just the first of
many new entry's to come down the pipe. And they
are excellent vehicles.

Re: 2005 Mustang GT

eeboater,

That GTO is cool too!

But...

I worry about the quality of its construction.

It is built in Austrailia.

Not trying to knock you guys down under or anything, it's just that this is the first import from Austrailia, so there are alot of unknowns.

I've looked at this car, and it looks nice, but in some characters, especially the interior, it looks really cheap and plastic.

Still a nice car though.
