Hello all. I have above engine and the charging system is not working. I checked voltage on a freshly charged battery and it read 12.5 volts. Started engine and volts stayed the same(per multimeter
on battery terminals). Volt gauge on dash confirms same thing.
Also I noticed my tach giving bad readings as in showing I'm turning over 7K when I know it has to be around 5500 per previous readings and nothing has been changed. I mention this as in some reading it appears this could point to the regulator/rectifier being bad.
My question is how do I test the charging system to confirm its the R/R and not some other part.
Serial number if needed is 1B009281.
