I turned on my livewell aerator and lost all my electrical power to the fuse panel (lights, bilge, accessories). All of the fuses in the panel test OK. Is there a main fuse that may have blown and where is it?

Did you loose B+ (12V) or did you loose Neg (ground)?
Check all connections from battery and up for corrosion.
A multimeter will be your best friend in electric fault finding.

Welcome to iboats!

There should be a main fuse, or more likely in a '05, breaker near the battery in line on positive cable.

If you lost everything due to a down stream circuit fault, there is somthing wrong with your breaker/fuse coordination. in other words. If your aerator pump has a short somewhere that caused enough current to flow to blow your main 30A (or so) fuse... that should have first blown your aerator pump fuse.

Things to check might be that the pump is not in disrepair, there IS a fuse on the positive to the pump, there has not been too many circuits added to your fuse box that it's starting to overload the main fuse/breaker, and thus wiring to the fuse panel.

on the other hand, it may be a coincidance... but if your main fuse blows again (whether due to aerator or not), its likely telling you something and I'd investigate further.
