I replaced a cdm module. I looked up the owners manual and it says the brown trigger wire 4pin should be on the bottom, white in middle and our please on top. So does the install instructions for the harness from CDI. Mine has the white on bottom and brown in middle. Does anyone else have it like this? Has my harness been wrong all this time?20230827_142448.jpg

I have no idea what we're supposed to see in the picture. No connections are actually shown.

Should be fine as the wiring shown is for engines with 132 firing order and yours is a 123

Thanks! I have not been able to find this info post 1993 and 132 seemed to be very common. I think you're saying it should be fine because the wiring likely didn't change with firing order? I.e. white used to be 2, but now is 3?

I think to verify this, I'd still have to ensure the trigger is actually firing on the same order as well right? Could i do this manually by turning the flywheel? I.e. verify trigger is also going 123 to this wore layout

If its wrong it wont run and possibly backfire,
it runs, but backfires. I was 99.9999% confident this is right, but the engine failing to maintain speed (plus these older manuals) were sending me down a rabbit hole of options. I'm thinking now being hard to start, the engine struggling at higher RPMs makes me think perhaps I'm having issues with fuel / fuel filter/ carb clogged from fuel type of issue and I'm just running lean.
