Hi,<br />The tests I have read show this outboard to be very good, probably the best 150 hp today.<br />I have not seen any test that compare Yamaha F150 and Honda BF150 but I have read individual test of Honda BF150 that show this to be a good outboard also.<br />The conclusion if judged by the tests is that Yamaha F150 has very good power, is very fuelefficent and very quiet. What more to demand?<br />It is expensive but not as expensive as a Honda BF150. Yamaha also has 5 year warranty if you buy before March 26 and warranty registered before March 31. One negative thing with F150 is that it has not been on the market for so long time so it is impossible to say how reliable it is.<br /><br />If weight is important the Suzuki DF140 is much lighter (410 lbs, 186 kg) than Yamaha F150 (466 lbs, 212 kg). But the DF140 is not as powerful as F150 despite only 10 hp difference - Yamaha F150 has much larger displacement (162.8 ci, 2670 cc) compared to Suzuki DF140 (124.7 ci, 2044 cc) for example and that is rather much difference (30%).<br />Honda BF150 is about same weight as Yamaha F150 but has smaller displacement, 144 ci, 2354cc.<br /><br />/Bo
