2004 Tahoe Q4 sf /w 3.0 Mercruiser: Prop & Smart tab questions

Prop : boat currently has a 3 blade aluminum, 13 3/4 inch diameter with 21" pitch. Not sure if this is the correct prop since boat was purchased used. Can anyone recommend correct prop size/blade number/pitch combination that optimizes perfromance? Typically towing a skier, two kids tubing or fishing with 3-4 adults on board. Want to get a better hole shot for skier and be able to come to plane faster.

Smart tabs:anyone installed on this/similar boat and what are your results?

The installation is very similar, but the transom is different on the Q4. Here is an install on a Q4 and the resulting performance improvement is still well worth the easy install and low price. Try this before you invest in a new prop. You will not be disappointed.

Factory specs for that prop for that engine is a 14 1/4 x 21. The larger diameter would improve the hole shot. There are try before you buy props available thru some dealers and maybe even Bass Pro Shops.Check your area via internet.
