I changed distributor cap, spark plugs, fuel filter & now it won’t start. Confirmed gas is running to the carb. Firing order is 1342, tested spark plug 1 and no spark. It started fine before removing the fuel pump to change the filter. Can anyone please help?

Being a 2004 (no serial number) I'm assuming EST Dizzy

If you didn't actually recheck rotor, do that.
If rotor was not installed all the way down the blade would hit one of the cap contacts and break or move it out of position

Next check for 12V at the coil (pink or purple wire) with key ON

Sorry, serial number 0M381522
I did check the rotor and it started fine until I changed the fuel filter. I had to remove the fuel pump to access the filter. Could it be bad spark plug wires?

Thanks, S/N list EST

Need fuel and spark and you said you have fuel
Said no spark

Triple check for fuel
With mechanical fuel pump might have got the pump arm on the side of the lobe and not centered

If there is fuel then Check the connectors on the coil and distributor
Then check for 12V, might have broke a connection somehow

I checked all the connectors and coil, there is fuel flowing at a good rate. Just not getting a spark.

It sounds like something electrical was not reconnected properly. Check everything that you touched during the maintenance. Is the coil wire connected properly, resistance in coil wire? Check for broken coil wire. Use a spark detector to check spark coming from the coil.

I double checked everything and made sure it’s all back where it needs to be. I just installed new OEM ignition wires today and it still wont start. No physical damage to any wires neither.

Do you have a voltmeter and did you see if your getting 12V to the coil with key ON (motor off) and while cranking?

Do you still have the old ignition parts? Put the old parts back in to see if it will run. You may have a bad part. Cap or rotor incorrect or damaged. Just because it is new, does not mean it is good.

Agree with adodge, need to check over connections/voltages with a meter. Start at the battery and work your way to the distributor including grounds

Won’t start after maintenance. Changed spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and it started fine until I removed the fuel pump to change the fuel filter. Now it cranks but no start! Can someone please help! I’ve tried everything I know and researched with no luck! Also, the circuit breaker is stuck and can’t be pushed to reset. Please see photo.

There is fuel coming through the lines so I know the pump was installed correctly.

Did you follow any advice posted in the other thread you started regarding the same issue?

Have you verified good spark?

Yes, I have tried it all. There is no spark coming from the spark plugs. Which is odd because if fired up fine prior to the fuel filter change.

OK, prove me wrong
What was the voltage at the coil with key ON and while cranking?
